Today was Kris' first father's day. We had my family and Kris' grandparents over for lunch. It was fun to all just relax and hang out. Kris made a wonderful assortment of grilled foods for us to feast on. It was a great day--- I hope he had a wonderful first Father's Day!

Hip Hip Hooray- 3 Months Old!

Karson turned 3 months old Tuesday, June 15th. Which was also Kris' birthday, so we had to things to celebrate! I can't believe he is already 3 months old. He has changed so much int he past 3 months. He is now holding his head up on his own very well. He also loves to sit up like a little man. He loves to sit in his Bumbo and watch his surroundings. He is also smiling more intentionally these days. He is still sleeping through the night, and if he does wake up he is able to put himself back to sleep. I think that is one that I am most happy about! I can't wait to see what the next month has in store.

More Swimming Fun

On Wednesday we went to swim at Aunt Judy's house again. I got Karson a floaty so he could float in the pool. He loved the water! He just smiled and looked around when he was in the floaty. I'm sure glad he likes the water, because we all know how much I love the pool and the sun in the summertime!

Today we made our third trip to The Dallas Arboretum. It is great to go fro a few hours since we got our membership. Today we went with Mandy and Madison. On Monday's they have a petting zoo and face painting for the kids. Madison thought it was great. Even though Karson isn't old enough for all that he still had fun playing with cousin Madison (that is when he wasn't sleeping). I think we decided that we would all go back again this summer. It was a lot of fun!

We went to my Aunt Judy's house to swim last Friday. I wasn't sure how Karson would react to the water, but I think he loved it! He smiled and liked being dipped in and out of it. He also looked super cute in his swim outfit. We are going back to swim again this week. It may be part of our routine this summer.

On Thursday Karson got to spend the day with his Pops. Kris' last day of work for the summer was last Wednesday. So Karson and I got to hang out with him all day. It was fun--- but short lived because Thursday night we found out Kris got a promotion so that was the end of our family summer fun for a few weeks. We are very excited and proud of Kris and I guess we can wait a few more weeks to have family summer fun.

Birthday Flowers

I have been waiting for a week for my flowers to bloom enough to get a good picture. Karson and Kris gave me flowers last week for my birthday. I think they are beautiful! I have some pretty great boys!!!

Karson got to spend sometime with his Gaga (my grandmother and his great-grandmother) on Saturday. I am glad they got to spend a little time together since she lives in Missouri. I am sure by the time she sees him again he will be HUGE!

On Friday we met Dana and Colby at the mall. Colby is 4 weeks younger than Karson. Karson had not gotten to spend time with Colby yet, so it was a first. I am sure there will be many more play dates in their future!

Tonight we went to La Duni to celebrate my birthday. The food was great, as usual. It was a great birthday celebration with my two boys!

Kris' parents were suppose to leave on Tuesday, but they ended up staying for a few more days so we met them at the DPC for dinner on Tuesday night. Karson was so good the whole time. He made friends with the pianist and the bass player. At the end of dinner they brought me my scoop of ice cream with a candle to celebrate my birthday.
