On Monday my parents and Kris' parents threw us a surprise 30th birthday party. Well it ended up only being a surprise for me...but it was still a lot of fun. Being a holiday weekend, not many of our friends could make it, but we had a great time with the ones that did come.

My Lil' Helper

Karson has decided that he loves to help me clean the house now. He likes to help me vacuum and swiffer. I think it is pretty cute. And I guess my floors will stay pretty clean too.

Weekend Fun with Carter

Saturday on the boat...not very happy when we put the life jacket on him.

Don't worry, he eventually liked it.

Watching the guitar player sing to them at dinner on Friday night

Buddies Hugging

Check out the Penguin polo's both boys have on...and it wasn't even planned!

This past weekend we went to dinner with the Crisler's on Friday night. As you can tell from the pictures the boys had a great time. They were so good that we didn't even realize it was almost 9:00 by the time we left to go home! Then on Saturday we went with them to take their boat out on the lake for the first time this year. It was a beautiful day! Karson loved the boat ride & the boys had fun with each other again. It is great to have such good friends!

Karson 14 months

He has started to lay on the ground or on pillows or even Hogan

sometimes to tell us he is tired

Playing with his toothbrush...hopefully this will lead to good oral hygiene

I feel like I am saying it all the time, but time really is flying by! Karson turned 14 months on Sunday. It feels like just yesterday he was a baby. Just a side note, I wonder when I will stop counting by months and just say he is one. Anyway here are a few of his accomplishments:

* Walking and running very well.

* Loves to play outside. We spend most of our time at night outside.

* I know I always say it, but loves his Hogan even more!

* He is trying to use a fork and spoon on his own. Most of the food misses his mouth, but at least he is trying.

* He moved up to the one year old class 3 weeks ago & is doing great!

* He is a mama's boy these days (which I am loving)

* He is very curious. Loves to look and get into everything!!!

Random Shots

Getting his groove on at the Kruger's going away party.

Just a side note, my mom tells me that he was the hit of the party!

Hanging with Papa

Being the nosy neighbor. He loves to watch out the window!

Reading with Pops. He has just started to sit still and really

pay attention to the books. It is so cute to watch!

These are just some random shots I have taken over the last few weeks. He is getting to be quite the little man. My favorite is the one of him dancing at the party. He danced the whole time!!!

Hogan got thrown in the pool

Karson loved the waterfall

He loved the pool!

Getting use to the water...it was pretty cold!

We celebrated mother's day for the whole weekend. We went to the lake to celebrate. Kris' parents had us, my parents and Kris' grandparents out to relax and enjoy mother's day weekend at the lake. It was a fun time for all! We ate, relaxed, laid by the pool & shopped...all of my favorite things! It was a fabulous Mother's Weekend !!!

A Boy's Best Friend

Hogan really is Karson's best friend. Every night they play together. Well truth be told Karson pokes, pulls and tackles Hogan. Hogan really just sits there and takes it. It kind of reminds me of Eore on Winne the Pooh. He just let's Karson go hog wild and never does a thing. Karson's favorite game is to steal Hogan's bone, ball or whatever Hogan is playing with at the time. Hogan just calmly lets him have it. It is fun to watch them play. I love how Karson's face lights up when he is around Hogan!
