4 Month Check Up

Too cute for words!!!
He loves the camera

On vacation taking a nap

Karson had his 4 month check up today (even though he is really 4 1/2 months). He is now 16 lbs 6 oz, which is the 62%. He is 25 7/8 inches long, 70%. His head is 16 1/2 inches, 25%. Overall he did wonderful! We are going to start cereal in the next few weeks.
He has made many accomplishments over the past few weeks. He is rolling over both ways. He is not consistent, but he is doing it. He smiles all the time. He talks to us all the time. He loves to chew on things, and suck on his thumb. He can play alone for an extended amount of time (especially on his play mat). He loves to stand with me holding him. He enjoys sitting up like a little man. He almost always rides in his stroller without the carrier now. He laughs out loud all the time! I could go on but I think I have documented enough of his accomplishments. He has changed so much in the past four months, I can't wait to see how much he changes in the months to come!

Trip to Gaga's House

Madison sleeping on the way there-- that can't be comfortable!

We stopped at Wal-mart, so of course he got a new toy

He did not like the way the slimy rocks felt

Sucking our thumb is our new favorite past time.

Early Friday morning, my mom, sister, Madison, Karson and I drove to Missouri to see my Grandma (or Gaga as Madison and Karson refer to her). It was a long trip in the car, but Karson did great! Once we were there we had lots of fun just spending time with my grandma. On Sunday we had our annual "Cousin's Day". Karson got to meet lots of family and even put his feet in the river. Even though it was a quick trip we all had a great time!

Karson's New Toy

When we got to Florida some of Grams and Duke's friends had bought Karson a Baby Einstein jumper. He had a blast playing in his new toy. He could not reach the floor, so we had to add boxes under him so his feet would touch. He learned how to jump and turn the seat around so he could get to the toys he wanted. They are bringing it here for him when they come in August. He can't wait to play with it again.

(this is the best picture I got---we got too close to his dinner time and
he did not cooperate during our beach photo session)

Family beach picture--- the wind was not working with my hair!!!

This would be a great one if we were all looking at the same camera

We took so many pictures on our trip to see Grams and Duke in Jupiter, Florida. It was a very fun trip! Karson went to the beach for his first time. He got to show Grams how much he loves to swim at the pool. As you can tell from the pictures we all had a fun time!

First Plane Ride

Waiting to get on the airplane

The airplane

Mommy and Karson before we boarded the plane

Karson had his first plane ride last Tuesday when we flew to Florida to see Grams and Duke. He was so well behaved on the the plane. He was even good for the hour we spent sitting on the runway right after we boarded, while they changed the flat tire on the plane. You would think that they would look for those things prior to boarding. He slept and played and of course smiled at everyone. He was excellent!! In fact, the guy behind us told Kris that Karson was going to be a hunter because he was so quiet!!!!

Wiped Out

On Saturday we went to swim at my Aunt's house. Karson was so wiped out from swimming that he almost fell asleep in his floaty in the water. When we got him out of the water we stripped him down and he quickly fell asleep on the lounge chair under the canopy. Doesn't he look cute?

Frank

We got Karson a stuffed tiger when we were at the zoo. Since then it has become his side kick. Frank the tiger (his Pop's named it) goes everywhere with him. I think it's pretty cute!

Karson and his buddy Carter

On Monday we went to Lake Ray Hubbard with the Crisler's. Karson loved riding in their boat. He loved the wind in his face. He liked even more swimming in the lake. It is amazing how much he loves the water! After a nice swim he fell asleep to the boat rocking of the boat. It was a fun day on the lake with friends!

Trip to the Ft.Worth Zoo

We had to see the flamingos for Nana

Karson all ready for the zoo

He liked the monkeys

Mommy showing Karson the animals

Ready to go home...but he had a fun first visit to the zoo!

Today we went to the Ft. Worth Zoo. It was our first official family outing. Well to do something like this at least. It was a lot of fun! Karson had napped the whole way there so he was awake for most of the zoo experience. He got a t-shirt and a tiny stuffed tiger to remember his first trip to the zoo.
