Christmas
Playing with his bat cave before we could get it out of the box
Ripping into his presents Christmas morning
Posing with Dad
Mada and Karson loving on Nana
We woke up Christmas morning and opened presents. Karson really got into opening the gifts. It was a nice relaxing morning just the three of us. Then we made homemade waffles and enjoyed a great breakfast. In the afternoon we went to my parents house to open more presents and have dinner. Karson got the Rock n' Roll Elmo. He loves to make him talk. My parents decided to start a new tradition of having the grand kids spend the night on Christmas night. So Karson stayed there and we came home to relax after dinner. It was a great Christmas.
Christmas Eve
Opening gifts at Mama and Papa's house
Playing with his new chainsaw
Wearing the Lacey (the dog) Santa hat
Karson's note and cookies he left out for Santa
We spent Christmas eve with Kris' side of the family. We went to his Grandparents house. We enjoyed a fabulous meal. Then we opened our gifts. Karson got a chainsaw and a pottery barn kids chair with his name on it. He loves them both so much! When we got home we let him get in his pajamas and stay up a little late to watch his favorite movie Toy Story 3. Of course he didn't forget to leave Santa cookies before he went to bed.

Holiday Fun
Breakfast with Santa
Still not liking the guy...only liked him from far away
Ready to go look at lights
Karson and Hogan enjoying the Christmas lights
Cousin Mada loving on Karson during our family baking day
Nana and Cousin Macy resting during baking day
It has been a while since I have posted and we have done so many fun holiday things. We went to breakfast with Santa with Grams and Duke. We also went driving around to look at Christmas lights. Karson loved the lights! He kept saying "oooo..." And last Friday we had a family baking day at Aunt Judy's house. Karson enjoyed the tasting part!

Santa, Santa, Santa
Feeling much better now that he is away from Santa
Exhausted after all the fun we had at the Arboretum
Posing together to try and get a good picture
Running around trying to decide which activity to do next
Karson has already had a heavy dose of the big, joy guy in the red suit. Last Saturday we went to the Arboretum to have treats with Santa. Then yesterday during the day he went with Grams, Nana, Aunt Mandy, Mada and Macy to get their pictures taken with the North Park Mall Santa. And finally last night Grams and I took him the Dallas Petroleum Club to have dinner with Santa. It was a fun night and I am sure we will be making a thing we do every year. However, even though he has seen Santa a bunch he is still not a huge fan of taking pictures with the big guy. He will smile at him from afar. He will wave at him too. But when he is placed in his lap he squirms right out! He doesn't cry or throw a fit. He just doesn't want that strange old guy to hold him. I guess every kid needs a Santa picture like that at least once in their lifetime. As you can see the best pictures are the ones when I am sitting on his lap holding Karson.
We have a few more activities with Santa this holiday season. hopefully one will be successful :)
