Family Fun

Playing with his new toy
Getting Nana with his sword (instead of hunting eggs)
Popping the bubbles with his sword
Our attempt at a bluebonnet picture-- unfortunately
Karson did not like sitting in them-- as you can see it did not
turn out as planned
This was more his style-- ridding the four wheeler with Uncle Chris
On Saturday we went to my Aunt's house to celebrate Easter with a craw fish/ shrimp boil. It was a great idea! The food was great! The kids played the whole time. They had an egg hunt in the front yard. Karson was not too into the egg hunting this time because Aunt Mandy had given him a new sword. He was more interested in playing with his new toy, rather than collecting eggs. I think his favorite part was riding the four wheeler. He wasn't a fan at first, but after he rode with his daddy he took a liking to it. Then he rode with my Uncle. Every time they stopped he would say"Go, go". He cried when it was time to get off of it.

A rare family photo
On Friday we went to the Arboretum for an Easter Egg Hunt. Karson did well hunting for the eggs. He also loved getting the candy out of them when he was done. It was a fun day!

On Saturday March 17th we celebrated Karson's 2nd birthday party. We had the party at Little Gym. It was a great party. They kept the kids entertained the whole time and did everything for us. I'm not sure how we will beat this party next year.

Karson Turns Two

The only time I can get him to sit still for a picture is in "Time Out"
Watching sports with Dad before bed
I can't believe that Karson is already two. It seems like just yesterday he was a little baby. But he is definitely a big boy now. Here are the amazing things he is doing these days:

* Sleeping in a big boy bed--- all night long
* Talking all the time--- his vocabulary is quite large now. He even speaks in sentences and will tell you stories about what happened during his day.
* Running--- EVERYWHERE! He's a fast little guy!!!
* His sense of humor is starting to really develop. I will walk by his room and he will be laughing at the movie or show he is watching.
* Still loves Hogan more than anything--- and also bullies Hogan all the time too.
* His favorite movies are Toy Story, Cars and Shrek-- and he will tell you which he would like to watch.
* He likes to play with his cars and build things with his blocks.
* His favorite thing to do is play outside. I think he could live outside :)
* Climbing-- he is pretty strong and will climb on anything and everything. I guess little gym is teaching him something.
I take him for his check-up next week so I will post his new stats after that.

Spring Break Day 4- Karson's Birthday

Reading his favorite book while he waits for Dad to get back with his donuts
He was all smiles when we sang to him
Enjoying that first bite of whip cream

Messy boy
Blowing out his Buzz candle at Grams' house

Enjoying his Sprinkles cupcake
On Thursday it was Karson's second birthday. Since we were off for spring break we made it a day of fun. He had a donut breakfast and then we headed to his little gym class. I had never gone with him because I am always at work when he goes. It was neat to watch him explore and interact during class. We then headed to have a birthday lunch. His favorite is a "dog, dog" or as most people call them a hot dog, so we headed to Moojah Burger. After nap time and a walk around the neighborhood we went to McKinney and had dinner with Grams and Duke. Karson enjoyed a birthday dessert at dinner and he also enjoyed a birthday cupcake from Sprinkles when we got back to their house. Let's just say he had his quota on sugar for his birthday.

Spring Break Day 2- Trip to the Zoo

Trying to reach the goat
Riding in style
Looking at the animals with dad
Trying to pose
The zebras, giraffes and elephant habitat was the coolest!

Driving the safari jeep
On Tuesday we went to the Dallas Zoo. Karson had not been to the zoo since he was 5 months old, and that was the Fort Worth Zoo. A small confession it was also my first trip to the Dallas zoo. We rode the DART train down to the zoo. He loved watching everything pass by. At the zoo he loved watching the animals. I don't think he has one favorite animal, but instead he loved them all! He started off in his stroller but it was hard for him to see some of the animals, so we let him walk or he rode on daddy's shoulders a lot. The cutest thing was that every time we left an animal we would tell him to say "bye, bye" to the animal and he would wave at each one to say goodbye. It was a great trip and I can see many more in our near future.
